WILDONE BLACK RELIC TORTOISE

A TRUE ROCK’N’ROLL SPIRIT

The WildOne is the first guitar ever designed by Wild Ju’ at the early stage of the company. Over the past few years, we’ve built different versions of the WildOne. We’ve used different construction methods (neck through body, set neck, bolt-on-neck, carved top, flat top, German carved top…), different scales (24’5″, 25’5″, 25″, baritone), different tonewoods (maple, mahogany, walnut, swamp ash…) and naturally different finishes. As a result, when we’ve been talking about producing series of our WildOne, we’ve decided to bring it back to the essential: an unmistakable vintage character and enough power for almost any application. To make a long story short, we want it Rock’n’Roll!

Where we make our guitars?

We believe in the real artisanal values, and all our instruments are handcrafted the old fashion way in our workshop. We are dedicated to delivering premium quality instruments, and our guitars are designed, crafted, painted, wired, set, tuned in France.

How is the Wildone built?

We pay a lot of attention to source premium quality wood for all our instruments. We make our Wildone in mahogany (Khaya Senegal). The mahogany is a beautifully grained wood with great musical properties. The tone is warm and full with excellent sustain. Musicians and guitar fanatics associate the mahogany with some of the most famous rock music of our time.

We use set-in neck construction method to build our Wildone. A set-in neck transfers the resonance between neck and body more freely and immediately than does a bolt-on neck. The result is usually heard as a little more warmth and fullness in the set-neck guitar.

How does the Wildone neck feel?

The Wildone features the Gibson 24-3/4″ scale length. It’s is one of the most common guitar scale lengths. Being shorter than the Fender 25-1/2″ scale, the Gibson 24-3/4″ scale has a lower tension, is more comfortable to play, and has a warmer tone. The Wildone neck profile is a standard thin medium “C” shape.  It’s one of our more popular necks, and it will feel comfortable to most players.

Who paints and relics the guitars at Wild Customs?

Our custom shop has established its reputation for bringing new and innovative finishing to our instruments. As passionate guitarists-artisans, we’re open to any artistic project. Beyond guitars, we are all sharing a passion for the vintage, and we collect old cars, old motorcycles, old tools, LP’s, adverts of the 50’s & 60’s, furniture… We’ve spent a lot of time seeking stuff in car boot sales. This background does explain the artistic direction of the brand and the rock’n’roll spirit of our guitars, but all projects are more than welcome.

Create your own visual style… let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.
